Target dropping Kindle this Spring

Target has today confirmed to Reuters that it’ll be dropping Amazon’s Kindle products from it’s line up “this Spring”, which equates roughly to “any day now”. Citing a “conflict of interest” on an internal document that The Verge has gotten it’s hands on, the move will see the Kindle Fire, Kindle Touch, Kindle DX, and Kindle being removed from the shelves.

As for an official statement on the matter, Target simply told Reuters that the company “continually evaluates its product assortment to deliver the best quality and prices for our guests.”

All Kindle products appear to have already been removed from Target’s online store.
