Google Chrome for Windows 8 Metro environment now available in developer builds
For those looking for an alternative browser to Microsoft’s own Internet Explorer for their Windows 8 Metro environment, the search is now over – kind of. The latest build of Google Chrome, available to users of the Google Chrome Developer Channel, now comes complete with an early look at Google’s Metro based Chrome browser.
The browser comes complete with full Metro compatibility, including Charms support, the ability to snap the browser to the left hand side of the screen as well as the right, the ability to run it as the default browser, and more. In our limited testing, the browser seems relatively stable considering it’s status as an early alpha build, however you should never rely on these sorts of early builds as your day-to-day browser.
