Tweetbot for Mac alpha released
Tapbots, developer of insanely popular Twitter client for iOS Tweetbot, has today at long last released an alpha version of their wildly anticipated Tweetbot for Mac client, which brings the developer’s unique aesthetic, syncing abilities, power features, and more for a whole new platform.
Tweetbot for Mac won’t be free when development is finished later this year, however today’s alpha build is free for anyone to use. As an alpha build, however, the application may of course be buggy, broken, or otherwise disfunctional – though early reports have said that the quality the application has been known for on iOS is certainly present here as well. However, those looking for iCloud support will be sorely disappointed for now, as Tapbots has made it clear that this early alpha build does not yet support it.
You can download Tweetbot for Mac from Tapbots’s official blog (once the server starts responding again, of course) here. Tweetbot for Mac currently supports both OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8, however the final release will be OS X 10.8 only.
