Google delays Nexus Q launch, offers free “developer device” to current pre-order customers
We knew that when the Nexus Q was announced alongside the Nexus 7 this year that it would have a very…. limited appeal to customers in its current form, and it looks like the first shoe has dropped – Google has just announced that they are indefinitely delaying the official launch of the Nexus Q. I know, I know – sad news for the two of you that were interested.
The good news is, all customers who preordered up to now will be releasing their Nexus Q’s soon and totally free, with one caveat – they’ll be receiving an early “developer device” with presumably limited upgradability to future firmware down the line, a la the old CR-48 Chromebooks.
