Samsung announces Galaxy Note 10.1″
In the market for a 10″ tablet and have no interest in the iPad or the Microsoft Surface? Well good news – Samsung has just announced their latest and greatest model of Android tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1″. What we’re looking at here is a device with a 10.1″ touchscreen, Samsung’s “S Pen stylus system” for doodling and writing notes (similar to what can be found on the original Galaxy Note), a speedy 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.0 with TouchWiz (ugh) – though there’s no word yet on Android 4.1 Jellybean availability, which should have been shipping with the tablet if you ask me.
The Galaxy Note 10.1″ goes on sale tomorrow (!) in the US, priced at $499 for the 16GB model and $599 for the 32GB model. These are wi-fi only models, meaning that if you’re game for some 3G or 4G capabilities you’ll need to wait a bit longer.
