Apple removes embarrassing Mac Genius ads
Apple has today removed their controversial Mac “Genius” advertisements from both their official website as well as their YouTube account. The ads originally played throughout the early days of the Olympics, but strangely were pulled not long after – by around the fourth day or so, there were no more ads to be seen.
Reaction to the advertisements have been pretty much universally negative, with some going as far to claim them the “worst advertisements in television”. It’s not a stretch, then, to assume that Apple pulled the ads due to poor viewer reaction.
