Nokia unveils wireless charging capabilities for new Lumia phones
Nokia is throwing out all the punches today – the company has just announced that their new Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 devices, which were just officially revealed today, will come standard with wireless charging capabilities via a standard charging dock, as well as a pillow-like unit they’re calling the “Fatboy”. (Yes. I’m serious.)
Basically, all that you need to do is plug in your charging station into the wall, place your phone on top, and forget about it. The wireless charging is built on top of the Qi industry standard, so plenty of third party solutions should be incoming. The phones don’t require a special battery cover – the tech is built right into these bad boys for seamless use.
