Twitter has just announced that they’ve updated their official mobile site to allow users of Android 4.0, Android 4.1, and iOS 6 to upload photos straight from the site without the need to open an application.

According to Twitter’s own Sung Hu Kim, users can chose to either take a new photo or chose an existing one. I just have it a shot on my iOS 6 device and it worked as expected, similar to their official iOS app. It’s interesting to see Twitter updating their official tools as they move closer towarda killing unofficial 3rd party clients – services that currently fill in the official clients’ gaps in functionality will be phased out, which means that Twitter themselves will need to be more apt at developing new features such as this.
