Apple announces new pricing for iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, drops iPhone 3GS

In addition to announcing the new iPhone 5, Apple has today announced new pricing for the rest of the iPhone lineup, including the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Both phones will remain available on Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon, while the iPhone 3GS – which has been around since 2009 – will finally be dropped.

The iPhone 4S will come in a 16GB option for $99, replacing last year’s iPhone 4 8GB at that same price point. The iPhone 4 will retain its 8GB storage capacity and will now be free on contract.
