At this point, most of you are probably aware that Windows 8 is launching on most to all new computers and to consumers on October 26th. What we didn’t know before now was how Microsoft was going to handle the launch – well it’s a mystery no more. Microsoft has just issued out invitations for journalists to “celebrate Windows 8″ at a launch party on October 25th.
The party’s taking place in New York City, and let’s be honest here – if you’re reading this, you’re probably not invited. But Microsoft’s hoping we’ll all celebrate in our own way by upgrading our copies of Windows XP, Vista, or 7 to Windows 8 for $39.99 when October 26th hits.
