Good news for owners of one of Samsung’s Galaxy devices – the company just informed tech news site The Verge that they’ve begun rolling out updates to Android 4.1 for most of the devices in the family, including the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, Galaxy G Advance, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Mini 2, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and Galaxy Note 10.1.
The updates will rollout gradually over the coming days, hitting different markets at different times. Reportedly users in Poland will be the first to see their updates, which will land as soon as today.
Samsung’s spin on Android 4.1 includes everything you’d expect – GUI enhancements, Project Butter, and Google Now – plus an array of Samsung-only features, including better “pop up play” functionality, a new “blocking mode”, and a new “easy mode”.
