Google releases Android 4.1.2, offers tablet improvements

Google has just released Android 4.1.2 to their official AOSP repository, meaning that developers, OEMs, and the like now have access to the latest and greatest version of Android. Included is the perhaps expected array of bug fixes and security enhancements, as well as some enhancements for tablet users – specifically the ability to run the home screen in landscape.

The update is also reportedly now available for all Nexus 7 users. No news yet on when other devices in Google’s Nexus line will receive the update, but considering some of those devices have yet to receive an update to Android 4.1.0 proper, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
