Pinterest, the virtual pin board used by millions around the world, is one of the fastest growing social media sites of today, so it’s only expected that they’re putting some serious effort into making sure that their mobile application is the best that it can be.
Pinterest took another step towards that today with their updated Android application. The primary new feature is a redesigned UI which provides “taller” images, taking advantage of all the real estate offered by using many smartphones in portrait mode. With the new UI, images are displayed much more prominently than before, while comments take a further back seat than ever before.
Here’s the full changelog as provided by Pinterest:
- Tall images are now bigger and easier to see.
- It’s now easier to pin from your favorite websites.
- Easily discover great new boards by seeing where a pin has been repinned.
- More fixes based on great feedback from our community.
