Helping in a time of need
AT&T and T-Mobile team up in New York and New Jersey to help Hurricane Sandy victims
AT&T and T-Mobile have just jointly announced that they’ll be teaming up in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to help customers get cell phone connectivity faster and in more places. The deal allows customers of both T-Mobile and AT&T to access both networks without roaming fees or the sorts.
There’s nothing to do on the customer’s end – your cell phone should automatically determine which network has the greatest connection in any given area and then jump onto that network. The deal covers customers in the states of New York and New Jersey, which were hit particularly hard by Hurricane Sandy, and should be in effect as we speak.
