Apple seeds developers with iOS 6.1 beta
On top of releasing iOS 6.0.1 today, Apple has also seeded paying developers with the first beta build of iOS 6.1, the next major version of Apple’s mobile operating system.
Not much is known about what new features the update brings, however Apple is probably planning on something relatively large for the release to warrant the #.x version number change, which has traditionally been reserved for larger updates than the usual #.x.x ones (though not large enough to be called iOS 7).
We’ll have more on any potential changes before long, so watch this space.
