Asus Transformer Prime and Pad Infinity users get taste of Jelly Bean

In a world where most Android devices see updates sometimes over a year after a new android version is released, it’s refreshing to when an OEM is at all quick to update an Android device to a newer version, and that’s exactly what Asus did today. Users of the Asus Transformer Prime and Asus Pad Infinity should now be seeing Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” being rolled out to their devices, along with all of the standard, delicious features the release brings, including Google Now and UX improvements.

Android 4.1 was released July 9th, so there was still a little bit of waiting involved, but when you consider that some official Google Nexus devices (such as the CDMA Galaxy Nexus) still have yet to get an update, I’d say all things considered this is a nice release turnaround. Bravo, Asus.
