Eddy Cue said Steve Jobs was “very receptive” to 7-inch iPad
Almost everything that has been offered as evidence in the Apple v. Samsung trial currently underway has been pretty interesting as of date, but this one takes the cake – according to an internal e-mail sent by Apple VP Eddy Cue, Steve Jobs was “very receptive” to the idea of a 7-inch iPad despite publically trashing the category during one of the company’s public earning calls.
Eddy goes on to say that he personally believed that the 7-inch tablet would be a contender once the original Galaxy Tab was released, and urged Jobs and co to make an effort to break into the category. It’ll be interesting to see if that purported iPad mini turns out to be real, however at this point I’d consider it a significant possibility.
