iPad mini sells like hotcakes, Apple sold out of white models
Want an iPad mini? Thinking about getting a nice white one to go with that white iPhone you’re carrying around in your pocket? Well looks like you’ve got a bit of a wait – Apple’s official online store is now listing that each of the white iPad mini models will ship in “2 weeks”, a one week delay when compared to the black/slate models. Apple is more than happy to still take your money, but you’ll just have to wait a bit longer before you get anything out of the transaction.
Apple has of course not yet revealing any sales numbers from the launch last night, but based on this we can safely assume one thing – Apple’s got another hit product on their hands. It seems likely, however, that Apple produced less of the white models than the black/slate ones which has contributed to the shortage.
