Microsoft accepting Surface pre-orders in stores

Do you just so happen to have an official brick-and-mortar Microsoft store nearby? Are you interested in getting your hands on Microsoft’s snazzy new tablet, the Microsoft Surface? Well great news! Microsoft appears to be allowing customers to pre-order Microsoft Surface devices in said stores. Supposedly the process is as easy as going into a store, stating your interest, and walking out with a pretty and official “You Surface has been reserved” slip that will make you feel superior to all else around you.

According to the reservation slip, you’ll need to arrive at a Microsoft Store on launch day to pick up your Surface, lest you give up your rights to the reserved unit and it goes into the hands of another lucky customer. This isn’t necessarily a confirmation that every single Microsoft Store out there is allowing this as of yet, but it’s certainly worth a shot.
