Microsoft confirms October 29th Windows Phone 8 launch date
The invite sent out to certain members of the media.
We told you over a month ago that Microsoft was planning on launching Windows Phone 8 on October 29th, and now we’ve got confirmation of exactly that via invites sent to members of the media from Microsoft.
The invitation, which invites potential attendees to “Meet Windows Phone 8″, features a generic looking Windows Phone 8 device sitting at the lock screen on a Nokia-ish cyan color. The event will take place in San Francisco at 10:00, and we expect we’ll be hearing more about new devices and some firm launch dates and pricing then.
