Samsung reaffirms US Galaxy S III will get Android 4.1
Samsung started rolling out Android 4.1 to their Galaxy lineup across the globe just the other week, however news on plans specific to handsets in the United States have been pretty quiet, until now. Samsung has just confirmed once more that US Galaxy S III devices will indeed be getting Android 4.1 “in the coming months” …and that’s it.
So really, there’s not much to go on here other than the fact that Samsung wants us to know that it’s coming. The people to blame for the relatively long wait seems to be the carriers themselves, of which there are currently five carrying the Galaxy S III in the United States – Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular.
So rest easy Galaxy S III owners, your day to shine is coming. Just don’t hold your breath.
