Steam for Ubuntu getting ready to enter private beta
Remember when the news broke a couple of months back that popular gaming service Steam was coming to Linux and even caught on camera? Valve is about to make this one a reality for 1,000 lucky users as they’ve just announced that Steam for Ubuntu will be entering a very exclusive, very private beta run for that small amount of users next month.
The beta will include the actual Steam application and one Valve game (more than likely Left 4 Dead 2, judging on the leaked camera shot). Valve is remaining quiet on how users will be able to apply to get their hands on this for the time being, but we’d expect more info very soon.
