Help Haverzine raise Breast Cancer awareness this October

Today marks the start of an important time of the year; all October, every October, is Breast Cancer Awareness month. One of the finest privileges of having a voice on the internet is to use that voice to spread goodwill and better the world, and on that note, Haverzine has once again shed its green hue and been draped in pink to show solidarity and support.

If you hadn’t already noticed, to help raise awareness we’ve replaced our signature neon greens with pink, the color that symbolizes the fight against Breast Cancer. A truly frightening stat, it is estimated that, by the end of 2014, over 232,340 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed affecting both men and women. Over 39,620 people may die from breast cancer.

That said, we have once again began collecting donations for the Haverzine Breast Cancer Awareness Fund through the amazing Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The goal is simple – raise as much money as we can to help this amazing organization change the lives of men and women who have and could be affected by this awful disease.

If you’re interested in donating to the Haverzine Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, you can do so online by visiting this link, or by clicking the pink banner above. All money is processed by and goes to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation – we don’t see or touch a cent of it. And to prove just how serious we are about that, I’ve decided to remove all advertising from the site for the entire month.

I sincerely thank everybody for taking the time to read this and for supporting this tremendous cause, and for letting Haverzine be part of your day. We’ll continue to do what we do all month long, so be sure to check back soon and get the word out!
